By Joseph Lichterman DETROIT (Reuters) - Prosecutors charged a white suburban Detroit homeowner with second-degree murder, manslaughter and firearms possession on Friday in the fatal shooting of a young black woman in the face, in a racially charged case that has captured national attention. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy accused Theodore Wafer, 54, of killing Renisha McBride, 19, on his front porch early on the morning of November 2 when she went to his home in Dearborn Heights to seek help after a car crash. McBride's family and civil rights leaders called for the homeowner, previously unidentified, to be charged, suggesting racial profiling might have played a role in the shooting. Police have said McBride knocked on the homeowner's door early in the morning after crashing a car nearby.
